Customs Readiness to Provide Services in Yazd Pishgaman Dry Port


The first phase of Yazd Pishgaman Dry Port was utilized during a ceremony by presence of the First Vice President, several Ministers and their Deputies, and the Deputy Minister of Management Development and Customs Resources of Iran.

In this ceremony, Dr. Ishaq Jahangiri, referring to the importance of launching the Yazd Pishgaman Dry Port and its impact on reducing the amount of goods traffic in the southern ports of the country, especially Shahid Rajaei port in Bandar Abbas, expressed hope that this port can provide valuable services to the country's business community.

According to this report, Mr. Ahmad Zakeri, Deputy Minister of Management Development and Customs Resources of Iran, announced the readiness of the customs to establish in this port, after completing and developing infrastructure facilities and installing technical equipment, and said: accelerate and facilitate customs formalities of entry and exit of goods to this port, and shortening the clearance time of goods are the customs programs in this port.

Pishgaman Dry Port of Yazd, which is located in 30 km south of Yazd on a 700-hectare land and is a multi-purpose port for logistics activities and port services, including; unloading, loading and storage of commercial goods.

It is worth mentioning that, the First Vice President and its board, inaugurated several development, service and cultural projects and participated in the meeting of the Resistance Economy Headquarters of Yazd Province.
