Governor of Yazd Highlights Pishgaman Dry Port’s Strong Potential as a Hinterland for Shahid Rajaee Port in Presence of the President


During a national meeting of provincial governors with the President, the Governor of Yazd described the capacities of Pishgaman Dry Port as highly promising.

According to the public relations office of Pishgaman Dry Port, in a meeting of governors from across the country held at the Ministry of Interior — attended by President Masoud Pezeshkian and Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi — the Governor of Yazd emphasized the significant role Pishgaman Dry Port can play as a hinterland for Shahid Rajaee Port.

Mohammad Reza Babaei stated that this dry port can serve as a hinterland for Shahid Rajaee Port and act as a facility for storing and staging maritime cargo.

Pishgaman Dry Port, as the first cooperative dry port in Iran, is located in the geographical center of the country. Spanning 714 hectares, it is equipped with modern logistical infrastructure and offers comprehensive services in supply chain management.

With its own customs office, advanced warehouses and cold storage units, silos, and both rail and road connections, the facility is recognized as a secure logistics hub and an export terminal.
