Pishgaman Dry Port Hosts Board Members of Shiraz Special Economic Zone and Advisor to Fars Governor


Board members of the Shiraz Special Economic Zone and the advisor to the Fars governor visited Pishgaman Dry Port and toured its various sections.

According to the public relations department of Pishgaman Dry Port, Naser Zahouri, the CEO of Pishgaman Dry Port Cooperative Company, accompanied the group and provided an overview of the different sections of the facility.

During the visit, the delegation observed the port's logistics and port services, including road and rail transportation, customs services, port operations, cold storage, silos and mechanized warehouses for grains and livestock feed, warehousing, and supply chain management services, gaining firsthand insights into the operations.

Dr. Zahouri highlighted that Pishgaman Dry Port features the most advanced systems for cargo clearance and tracking, enabling cargo owners to submit and process their requests without physical presence. He emphasized that this facility offers an ideal platform for traders to engage in economic activities across various sectors.

At the conclusion of the visit, Mohammadreza Shahsavari, a board member of the Pishgaman Infrastructure Affairs Union, elaborated on the group’s completed projects and activities, stating, ”Pishgaman has aimed to develop infrastructure in various sectors to facilitate economic activities and create employment opportunities.”

Amirhossein Rezaeinejad, Chairman of the Board of Pishgaman Dry Port, shared his experiences and challenges in establishing the dry port. He also expressed readiness to collaborate on the logistics village project within the Shiraz Special Economic Zone.

Raja, the advisor to the governor of Fars, remarked during the meeting, ”The concept we had in mind about a dry port and what we witnessed here were quite different. Pishgaman Dry Port has demonstrated that implementing a project doesn’t necessarily require extensive hardware; thoughtful ideas and concepts are key.”

He added, ”At Pishgaman Dry Port, we observed a complete chain of services ranging from transportation to warehousing, silos, and more.”

The advisor to the governor of Fars praised the initiatives undertaken at Pishgaman Dry Port and said, ”Significant achievements have been made in Fars Province, and with your expertise, we hope to leverage your experiences effectively.”
