Director General of Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Agriculture Visits Pishgaman Dry Port


The Director General of Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Khaledi, visited the Pishgaman Dry Port.

According to the public relations department of Pishgaman Dry Port, the Director General of Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Khaledi, visited the Pishgaman Dry Port.

During the visit, Dr. Khaledi became acquainted with the supply chain management processes, warehousing, silos, cold storage, customs services, port operations, and other facilities offered by the complex.

On the sidelines of the visit, Dr. Khaledi emphasized the need for logistics terminals in the country, stating, “A logistics terminal like Pishgaman Dry Port can play a supportive role for farmers. These support structures must advocate for farmers and, in turn, receive support themselves.”

He further noted that Pishgaman Dry Port is a robust facility, adding, “You can utilize the capacities of the stock market and take this complex public.”

The visit, accompanied by the Deputy Director General of Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Agriculture and several managers from the Yazd Agricultural Department, included an in-depth presentation by Dr. Zahouri, the CEO of Pishgaman Dry Port. He detailed the various sections of the facility and other activities undertaken by the Pishgaman Cooperative Group.

Spanning over 700 hectares, Pishgaman Dry Port offers an ideal location for logistics and port services, including loading and unloading, modal transportation changes, cargo storage, and product warehousing.
