Dry Ports Have an Effective Role in Reducing the Cost and Time of Exports and Imports



\r\nThe First Vice President at the opening ceremony of the first phase of the Pishgaman Dry Port, announced an increase in exports and imports in the coming years.

Mr. Ishaq Jahangiri, the First Vice President, at the opening ceremony of the first country's cooperative dry port, stating that the idea of dry port for a vast country like Iran, whose borders are very long to the inside of the country, is effective, also expressed; in the last 11 months, except crude oil and gas condensate, which also has a very high amount, more than 130 million tons of goods have been exported and imported, that more than 100 million tons have been exported and about 30 million tons have been imported, which is a high amount in terms of sanctions.

He announced the increase in exports and imports in the coming years and added: the construction of the Pishgaman Dry Port in the geographical center of the country has reduced customs formalities and makes export operations in water ports easier.

The First Vice President stating that a large amount of imported goods in water ports have not been cleared, continued: about 4 million tons of essential and more than 3 million tons of non-essential goods that have been imported into the country, stored in water ports, that in this regard, dry ports should have a backward state and goods should be stored in the warehouses of these ports.

Mr. Jahangiri, pointing out that one of the aspects of Iran's authority is its geographical location, and said: Due to the limited capacity of water ports and the difficulty of providing foreign exchange, the suspension of ships in ports imposes a heavy cost on the importer. To solve this problem, dry ports can play an effective role.
