Examining the Role of Pishgaman Dry Port in Yazd’s Economic Development at the Fifth Board Meeting of the House of Industry, Mining, and Trade


The role of Pishgaman Dry Port in the economic development of Yazd Province was reviewed during the fifth board meeting of the House of Industry, Mining, and Trade of Yazd.

According to the public relations department of Pishgaman Dry Port, the fifth board meeting of the House of Industry, Mining, and Trade of Yazd Province for this year was held with the presence of a majority of its members. The meeting focused on key topics related to the province’s industries.

At the beginning of the session, the head of the Food Industry Association highlighted challenges facing the flour and bread industry, emphasizing the importance of improving wheat quality and revising pricing processes.

Following this, the CEO of Pishgaman Dry Port presented a comprehensive report on the services and capacities of the facility, explaining its pivotal role in developing trade infrastructure and supporting the province’s industries.

Dr. Naser Zahouri highlighted the strategic location of Pishgaman Dry Port, stating, “As one of the largest logistics centers in the country, this dry port, with its connection to the rail network, advanced warehouses, customs services, and multimodal transportation, offers ideal conditions for producers and traders.”

He added that the facility, through extensive port services, accelerates commercial processes and plays a significant role in reducing logistics costs and enhancing the competitiveness of the province’s industries.

Dr. Zahouri concluded by emphasizing, “Our goal is to support the province’s producers and traders by offering comprehensive logistics services and solidify Yazd’s position as one of the nation’s economic hubs.”
