The report quotes Mohammad Reza Shahsavari that the import volume has witnessed growth after running the entire sections of the first phase of the port. “Since the beginning of the current year, despite pandemic-stricken economic circumstances as much as 380,000 metric tons of goods have entered Pishgaaman Dry Port including refrigerated commodities, ordinary goods and bulk goods”, said Shahsavari. According to him, iron ore concentrate, cement clinker, fruits, industrial machinery and cereal have been among the said commodities. He added that transportation services, loading and unloading, customs services, refrigeration and storage, rail road scales and weighbridge, as well as import and export consultation are among the services which can be sought in the dry port.
Pishgaaman Dry Port is the only cooperative dry port in the country which enjoys exclusive customs with an official license from the government and is acts as a commodity hub in center of the country.
